1. Company presentations as part of "Roads to employment" series

Presentations on the university campus allow companies to approach qualified young academics actively and before their competitors. Companies can present their career entry and internship opportunities, trainee programmes and dissertation opportunities to graduates and doctoral candidates and present themselves as an attractive employer.

2. Practical lectures as part of the "Roads to employment" series

Companies know which core business issues will be increasingly important in the future from their day-to-day experiences. Through Career Services, they are able to heighten students' awareness of these problems at an early stage and to demonstrate their knowledge in practice. With a practical lecture, companies attract student attention and stimulate interesting, practice-oriented discussions.

Dates for presentations and practical lectures
As a rule, these take place on Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

Duration

3. Workshops

In half-day to full-day workshops, companies can advise undergraduates, graduates and doctoral students on questions regarding professional orientation, job searching and applying to jobs. Present yourself here as a competent contact person for career matters, and attract positive attention. In addition, companies get to know participants in various situations during the workshops and can identify suitable future employees. The topic for Workshop 1 is freely selectable. Three fixed themes are proposed for workshops 2 to 4.

Workshop 1: Courses can include skills, knowledge and abilities that new employees should ideally have when they start their jobs, such as negotiation techniques and intercultural rules of conduct.

Workshop 2: "Don't be afraid of Assessment Centres!" Training: self-presentation, group exercises, business games

4. Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf Campus Fair

The annual Campus Fair gives companies the opportunity to talk to students and graduates and establish contacts with university members. The Campus Fair is organised in cooperation with the Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf, the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences with the participation of numerous companies from the region. On Recruiting Day, which usually takes place on Wednesdays, companies provide students, graduates and doctoral candidates with information about career prospects in their company and hold talks with potential junior staff at their exhibition stand. More information and current dates can be found here.

5. Career Lunch / Career Dinner

On request, Career Services can organise a career lunch/dinner with selected undergraduates, graduates or doctoral students for companies and will propose a suitable restaurant. The costs of the Career Lunch/Career Dinner are borne by the company.
